Broadband, electricity and water

Fibre: in 2022 Open Infra was granted state broadband funding from the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority to build fibre to Fågelsjö, Tandsjöborg, Hamra, Sandsjö, Lillhamra and Sjöändan, prioritised by Ljusdal Municipality. Contact Open Infra for the current status of your property. The municipal network Ljusnet (Ljusdal Energi) does not yet reach the village. Mobile broadband works in the village.

Electricity: the local grid is owned by Ellevio – check your bill for the grid operator and report outages there. Water and sewage are private installations – your own well and your own sewage system – which require a permit from the municipality's environmental unit for new builds or changes.

Refuse collection

Ljusdal Municipality collects household waste along Fågelsjövägen on a rural schedule; holiday homes can opt for summer-only collection. Bulky and hazardous waste goes to the recycling centre. A packaging recycling station is in Los. Current collection days at ljusdal.se.
